Children ages 1st-5th grade are invited to attend a children's service in FLC-upstairs that runs alongside the church's main worship service. Children's check in/out is in the FLC-foyer. The service starts at 10:30 a.m.
The service usually flows in this way: a snack time, songs to sing in worship together, Bible teaching, prayer journaling, and a game.
Our current study is titled "Shout Out: Let 'em know you're thankful." We will focus on gratitude and the power of testimony. We want to learn how to give thanks to God and others for how they help us.
Wednesday nights children ages Kindergarten-5th grade are invited to participate in Immersion! It begins at 5:50 p.m. and ends at 7:10 p.m. in the gymnasium.
Children are divided into age appropriate groups and they go to three different stations that all focus in a different way on the nights: one question, one answer, and one verse. They will learn and memorize doctrinal truths from God's Word in Bible study time, hand's on exploration time, and group game time.
Question: What is God?
Answer: God is the creator of everyone and everything.
Verse: Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
Sunday Nights children ages K-5th grade are able to participate in "The Lab", where they focus on Bible reading and prayer. Children will learn the skills of reading God's Word in its various genres through asking: what-why-how-so what of texts. We want them to learn how to better read the Bible for themselves by identifying concepts and keywords.
Secondly, we will focus on taking what they learned from that night's Scripture study and apply it to their lives firstly through prayer. We want them to learn to pray Scripture for themselves, their peers, their church, and the world.
Following study and prayer the kids typically have a guided game or free time in the gym until pickup.
The night begins at 5 p.m. and ends at 6 p.m. Check in/out is in the FLC-foyer.
